Apply now Staff and students wishing to apply should visit: https://permits.paysmarti.co.uk/acct/uniofedinburgh If you are not a member of University staff with a University staff ID number or a fully matriculated student, but are deemed eligible against our criteria and wish to apply for a permit please visit the webpage below and create a “non-UoE” account: https://permits.paysmarti.co.uk/acct/uniofedinburghother Step by step guide Create a user account by entering the personal details requested Select the option for Staff or Student Permit (as appropriate) Select the option for Staff or Student City A, B (half days or full days, as appropriate) If you are applying for a City A permit but wish to pay in instalments please select the three or six months option for payment. You will still be issued with an annual permit should your application be successful, but this will allow the option to pay via instalments. You will receive a reminder two weeks before your next instalment is due Complete the questions and upload and submit any supporting documentation as required. An email will be sent to you to confirm your application has been received and is pending review If you are successful If you have applied for an A permit an email will be sent to you to confirm your application has been received and will direct you to make payment for your permit. If you have applied for a B pay-as-you-go permit an email will be sent to you to confirm your permit is active. You must then purchase vouchers and activate these on the days you wish to park. If you are unsuccessful If you are unsuccessful I your application you will have the opportunity to appeal the decision. How to purchase B Permit Vouchers B permit vouchers must be purchased in advance by logging into your permit account. Access for staff and students is via MyEd login and “Parking on Campus” should be selected from the “Services” drop down. They are available to purchase in blocks of 10 or more and permit holders may purchase half day or full day blocks. Vouchers are activated by the permit holder logging on to their account and making a voucher active on the day they are parking.
