Staff and students can appeal the decision to refuse them a permit. Appeal in writing Staff and students who are unsuccessful in their application for an “Essential-User” Permit may appeal this decision in writing to the Parking Manager. The letter should provide full details of the reasons for the Appeal. Review and decision All Appeals are carefully considered by the Parking Office, and if appropriate the original application form will be adjusted to reflect the circumstances of the individual. If this increases the number of points to above the threshold, the individual will be offered the permit. To avoid entering into the Appeals procedure staff and students should ensure that their answers to the criteria based questions on the application form reflect their circumstances.
