Central Area A large number of Lothian Buses travel through the Central Area, many will have minor timetables changes or be linked to the major route changes travelling to our other campuses. Please check the other campuses listed here or visit the Lothian Buses website for more details. Easter Bush Minor timetable changes: 15 - During the quieter summer period the 08:27 arrival has been temporarily removed. 141 - very minor change to timings. Major route and timetable changes: 47/47B - The section of this route north of the city centre is changing to provide the route currently provided by Service 41 (Cammo - Cramond - Davidsons Mains - Blackhall - Lothian Road then onwards as normal). Bus users living on the existing 47/47B route will be able to use the altered Service 22 which will replace the section of Service 47/47B between Granton Harbour and the city centre, and then switch to 47B. The number of services arriving on campus between 8-9am will increase from 2 to 3. King's Buildings King's Buildings is served by a number of public bus services. Service 12, 24 and 38 operate along the boundary of the campus on West Mains Road and Mayfield Road, and Services 3, 7, 8, 29, 31, 37, 47, N31, N37 and X62 are a 5-10 minute walk from campus at Cameron Toll. Minor timetable changes: 24, 38 Major route and timetable changes: 41 - Service withdrawn and partly replaced by the new Service 9 and a revised route for Service 47/47B. 9 - New service connecting Muirhouse, Wardie, Canonmills, Bellevue, Surgeons Hall, Potterrow, and then following the route of the withdrawn service 41 to KB. The section north of Surgeons Halls shares the route with the existing Service 8. Service 8 operates through Cameron Toll, and passenger data indicates that the section between Cameron Toll and Bellevue/Canonmills has been popular with the under 22 market, indicating a concentration of student residencies in this area. The introduction of Service 9 to replace Service 41 will seek to support this growing demand as well as continuing to support growth in passenger demand on the route through the Southside, Marchmont and the Grange. Service 9 will have the same 20 minute Monday-Friday and Saturday frequency to KB as the withdrawn Service 41, and a 30 minute frequency on Sundays. 47/47B - The section of this route north of the city centre is changing to provide the route currently provided by Service 41. For staff or student bus users residing in this part of the city, access to KB will either mean using Service 47/47B to Cameron Toll and walking 5-10 minutes to the campus OR switching to Service 24 at the West End or Service 9 at Potterrow.
